This workshop provides Internationally Educated Healthcare Professionals (IEHPs) with practical strategies to conduct an effective job search in the healthcare sector. Participants will learn how to leverage job boards, professional networks, and tailored resumes to secure opportunities aligned with their skills and experience.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
- Understand how to research and target suitable job opportunities in healthcare.
- Learn effective networking techniques to connect with industry professionals.
- Develop customized resumes and cover letters that highlight their unique qualifications and experience.
Meet the Employment Liaison – and Navigate EPIC-HC Job Board - with Sherry Gao, EL
Workshop Description:
- Sherry Gao, an Employer Liaison with the EPIC program, will assist you with employer connections, placement opportunities, and relocation planning. During the workshop, she will get to know you and discuss her expectations, your expectations, and those of potential employers. She will guide you through your job search journey, including navigating the EPIC Job Board, and reviewing healthcare organizations and available positions with you.
Outcomes:
- Review hiring organizations and available positions on the EPIC website
- Understand the process of working with your Employer Liaison
- Learn to manage expectations
- Navigate the EPIC Job Board
